Do I need a reservation to come with my own camping means?
The campsite has delimited pitches than you can reserve through our booking engine but you can also choose a place of your liking based on availability upon arrival. If you are arriving without a reservation in high season, it is best that you come between 11:00 - 13:00 as you will have more place options than if you come in the afternoon.
Do all the camping sites have shade?
Some places are located under the natural shading of trees, some under artificial means and have satisfactory shading and some none at all , adequate for very large vehicles that need space with no trees. It is advisable to have your own extra shading equipment to tie on trees.
Is it possible that when I arrive I can’t find a shady place?
In high season especially in the days near the fifteenth of August, if you are arriving without a reservation, it is possible that the only places available have limited or no shading.
Does every seat have access to electricity?
Electricity is available for all pitches; you will be needing an extension cord.
Can I set up my tent/caravan/motorhome on the beach?
The beach is a public area and according to the Regulation of the Coast Guard, camping on the sandy beach is prohibited.
Where can I empty the chemical toilet of my trailer/automobile?
There are 2 points where you can empty your chemical toilet.
Are pets allowed on the campsite?
They are welcome as long as some basic rules are followed. They are allowed to stay in the campsite, but not in the rental accommodation. They can stay outside the rental accommodation tied up as long as they do not bother your neighbours. They should always be accompanied with a leash and take immediate care of their feces.
Is the tap water drinkable?
The water from all the taps is not for consumption. There is indication above the drinking water faucets and cold-water coolers in three places where you can drink or fill. Two are in the communal kitchens and the other is outside the mini market.
Where can I cook?
There are two communal kitchens with benches, sinks with running water, electricity, refrigerators, freezers, and gas stoves available for our campers.
Are cooking and serving utensils provided for the use of communal cuisine?
No, you should bring your own utensils.
Are barbeques allowed?
Barbeques are allowed if the following conditions are met: There is no strong air, there is water available near the grill, it does not bother the neighboring campers and the local fire department has not issued any prohibitions for that time in the season. It is not allowed to light fire on the ground.
Are there any shared barbecues?
There are no communal grills, the communal kitchens only have gas stoves.
Are there washing machines?
Yes, there is a laundry house with 2 large washing machines and a dryer. To use them you need 6€ in coins. You should have your own detergent, or you can buy some from the mini market or reception.
What kind of catering facilities does the campsite have?
Restaurant: The kitchen serves daily dishes of traditional Greek cuisine, as well as snacks made from local and fresh ingredients. You can enjoy your breakfast daily in the pool area overlooking the sea. In our menu you will find different breakfast menus for all preferences.
During the day we serve vegetable salads from local producers and tasty snacks such as club sandwich, pizza and handmade burger. From noon onwards you can taste cooked dishes with flavors from Greece at very affordable prices. In addition, throughout the day you can try our delicious grilled meats. All meals served are ‘a la Carte.
Bar : The bar serves Hausbrandt coffee near the pool and the sea or on the lawn. For our younger campers there is always available freshly squeezed organic orange juice, ice cream & a wide variety of smoothies and seasonal juices with fresh fruits. In the bar catalog you will find a variety of drinks, beers & cool cocktails.

What are the prices at the restaurant and the bar?
Their prices are affordable and proportional or lower than the shops in the area.
Is there a super market near?
The mini market that you can find at the front of the campsite, opposite the bar, offers fresh bread, milk, fruit, cereals & breakfast pastry from early in the morning. You will also find essentials, stationery, cigarettes, detergents, toys and books for children.
You can find large supermarkets is at a distance of 3-6 km.
How can I come?
The easiest way to get to Gytheio is by car or bus
How long is the campsite with the bus?
The journey with the KTEL bus from Athens lasts about 3.5-5 hours depending on the stops.
If I don't have a car, how can I move around the area?
For your daily trips there is a bus from the bus station that stops outside the camp site with 2 or 3 routes depending on the time of the year. We also rent out electric or mountain bikes for visiting Gythio and the surrounding area.
Is the beach near? is it organized?
The campsite is located on the beach with pitches ranging about 50-200m from the sandy beach. The vast 5km beach hosts the caretta-caretta turtles in summer, so the area in front of the campsite remains of natural beauty without sun beds and umbrellas. In case you don't want to bring your own equipment, our mini market provides you with affordable sun protection and seating solutions.
Is the sea suitable for children?
For a few meters it is shallow, but then it deepens.
Is the beach sandy or with rocks?
The beach is sandy with small pebbles.
Is there a lifeguard on the beach?
The beach is public and has no lifeguard in front of the campsite but elsewhere on the beach.
What do you do for the kids?
For our smaller campers there is a member of our staff with a creative work program in the small playground from 14:00 to 21:00 every day in high season. The daily program with activities, constructions and games is posted in the common areas. All children from 3 to 12 years of age can participate.
For older children the campsite has a playground, beach volley, rental bikes and can also rent equipment and take windsurfing lessons 2km from the campsite.
At 21:00 every night there is a children's summer cinema.
What activities are there for adults?
During the high season various events / activities take place such as dance learning, aerobics, Greek nights, karaoke & concerts.
Until what time can I drive my car in the campsite?
The security barriers close at 12:00 midnight and open at 8:00 in the morning. After closing , you can only enter the main gate on foot from the side door.
Can I enter the campsite by car?
During the day and only during Low or Mid season you can drive your car to your pitch after reception has given you the special magnetic card that opens the barriers. Reception cannot open the barriers if you need to load/unload your equipment upon arrival and departure. We have special carts you can use to carry your things and shopping during your stay.
Where can I park?
You can park it in the fenced area 200 m from the campsite at no extra charge.
What hours does reception work?
The campsite reception, during the high season, is open all day from 08:00 a.m. until 22:00.
Can I pay by credit/debit card?
At all points of the campsite you can make use of your credit/debit card.
Where's the nearest ATM?
You can find ATMs of the banks ETHNIKI, PIRAEUS & ALPHA BANK in Gytheio 5 km. from the campsite.
Where is the nearest health center?
For medical cases there is a Health Center in 5km with a pediatrician and pathologists operating 24 hours.
Can I bring my bike?
Our landscape is ideal for safe cycling and commuting within the campsite. If you do not want to bring your own bikes, Mountain bikes are available for rent at reception with the possibility to place a child seat for a toddler or smaller for preschool children.
What can I bring with me?
Things you may need are lens, charger, lantern, rope, clotheslines, pillows & linen, insect repellents, sleeping bag, mattress, extension cord, power outlet, cookware & kitchen supplies. Many of the above are also sold in the campsite's mini market.
Can I rent/borrow table seats?
For those camping with their own equipment there are communal spaces with tables and chairs where they can use them freely and at no charge.
What's included in my bill?
For all our campers free of charge are: the use of shared kitchen with gas hobs, refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, sun beds, umbrellas & bean bags, toilet paper and hand soap , use of hot water in the washbasins and showers, use of the pool, playground, baby playground, creative activities for kids from 3 years to 10+ and all supplies involved, recreational events such as live music and tournaments.
